Solution Delivery

There are two options for the delivery of Tribune’s solution:

  • Capital project with ongoing support
  • Managed service

Capital project with ongoing support:-

Hardware – Tribune will deliver on our client’s preferred hardware be it Dell, IBM or HP.

VDI Software and Implementation – Tribune designs, integrates and implements the optimum solution from industry standard components from the likes of VMware, Citrix and Microsoft to provide the necessary level of concurrent usage for the client’s total IT environment and usage patterns including most, if not all, of its application software.

Implementation will be assessed, sized and adjusted for unique complexities in any particular case.

Ongoing Support - Tribune provides support from a menu of support options to provide increasing levels of support and coverage as required. Pricing depends on the complexity of the Virtual solution design and the agreed service level agreement (SLA).

In a Virtualised environment, the number of support calls and the number of desk-side visits is dramatically reduced. A fundamental attribute of VDI is that, by its very nature as a centralised solution, it is very efficient and this is evidenced as below:-

  • Support calls are typically reduced by 50%
  • Desk-side visits are typically reduced by 90%

Tribune delivers all this on a project basis and also offers rental or leasing arrangements, if preferred, or as a managed service in either a client’s data centre or in an external data centre.
